About Vanity Fair

Mission Statement

Vanity Fair is the premier publication for Hollywood obsessives, the insider’s source for arch political analysis, and a trusted home for incisive narrative journalism. Part of the Condé Nast portfolio, VF explores the intersection of power and personality, profiling the outsize characters who shape our culture. Across platforms, VF stands for ambitious storytelling, iconic images, and indelible experiences, including the legendary Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Editorial Standards and Practices

Vanity Fair’s journalists adhere to the highest standards of accuracy as they set about illuminating the topics they cover, whether it’s US politics, crime, scandal, the entertainment industry, Hollywood’s awards races, the British royal family, or an irresistible morsel of celebrity news. VF encourages its reporters, writers, photographers, and editors to draw upon their experience and informed perspective and give readers the clearest possible picture of what’s really happening. Originally reported stories are fact-checked, copyedited, and subject to legal review in advance of publication.

About Radhika Jones

Radhika Jones is the editor in chief of Vanity Fair.

Since arriving as the magazine’s top editor in 2017, Jones has repositioned Vanity Fair as a cultural barometer—capturing the zeitgeist while also looking ahead to identify and uplift the most important and influential artists, activists, and intellectuals of our time.

Among the many metrics of success under Jones’s leadership, Vanity Fair has broken its own traffic record multiple times and has experienced consistently strong growth in its subscription business and social media footprint across platforms.

Prior to joining Vanity Fair, Jones held senior editorial roles at The New York Times, Time, and The Paris Review. Jones also served as editor at Artforum & Bookforum, and managing editor at Grand Street. Jones graduated summa cum laude with a BA from Harvard and holds a PhD in English and comparative literature from Columbia University.
